Forum Integration

Today we took a small step and integrated our Blog with our Forum. Everything that posts to the Blog will now also post to the Forum.

Hopefully (if I am “gutsy” enough), we will try to do the same thing in reverse, so folks on the Blog who do not desire to be a part of the Forum, (I don’t know why though…it’s really a good tool), will be able to see in the Blog what happens in the Forum.

That’s about it on our trial and error tools. Now, we just need to remember to back things up all the time before doing something foolish.

Well, most of our backups are automated via a script but some are not.

Thanks for being a part of IndexWa.org. We appreciate you more than you know.

Something New For Donors on Our Forums

We installed a new feature today for donors. ANY donation amount to IndexWa.org will give you the following feature(s) in your control panel on our forums.

Full control over your user name color which includes:
-border
-color
-background
-font style
-text decoration
-font weight

This is available through drop down dialogs (which are colored for easy choosing).

For a user to change their color(s), it’s in the main profile section (where you can change interests).

By the way. If donating via Paypal, there is an area you can donate as a gift. We are not charged for gifts. Only donations. It’s not a big deal and is minimal but every penny counts to keep things running.

For those of your whom do not wish to use Paypal, view our blog for other ways to donate.

Notice to Users of Comcast

To all users of Comcast:

We sent out a NEWS AS IT HAPPENS and six of those bounced back to us. Apparently your ISP has us blocked as spammers.

Please whitelist us or contact your ISP and notify them that indexwa.org should not be blocked.

After 3 bounces back to us, we normally delete users from our database.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Happy Birthday IndexWa.org

Woo Hoo!!

On August 8, 2007, IndexWa.org had its beginning.  It has been a super fun ride and we appreciate everybody that has contributed via sending us news or financially, to make it happen.

Happy Birthday to Us! Three years old today.

And again THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!!

Forums Up and Running!!

Our Forums are up and running. We do hope you enjoy them and make use of them. We have been through this one other time in 2008.

This time we spent countless hours asking many people questions and trying to make it just right. We know we can’t please everybody but we do our best.

Keep in mind that even “outsiders” can post here too. There is one area that is really targeted at Index or the Town, but outsiders are more than welcome to post.

Please contact us if there are any issues or you think the rules need modification or anything.

Additions or Deletions to the Forum? We tried to put something in there for everybody. Let us know.

Small Revamp of Index Blog

We are doing a slight revamp of the blog area. If you were/are a registered user of the Town of Index Blog, your name and password has been removed.

We are working hard on some software for the future and registered users were throwing the stats off during the install. It will be a short while before you should register once again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Broken Links

As time passes, links on our site to other sites tend to “break” or are no longer valid.

We ran a program today to verify 190+ links in the blog. The links that were permanently broken have been removed and the links with a re-direct are still in place.

In the event you see a post and the link that is posted within the post is not clickable, the hot link was removed.
