Mossyrock store clerk killer found ‘insane’ | KING5.com | Seattle News and Video

We just had to post this.  My wife and I knew this lady (not on a personal basis) but we have done business with this station many times in the past and we did know her and her husband.

Mossyrock is a tight knit community just like Index.  Mossyrock stretches for miles and mile but in the small town that is spread out, everybody knows everybody.

I grew up in Mossyrock and still live in the area. I second the above comment…it is a very tight knit community. The family that opperates the “Middle Store” (as locals refer to it), are a very respectful and personable family. Soon Yang, the lady who was killed, was as sweet as can be and you rarely went into the store without being greeted by her smile. I think what makes this crime even more horrendous was the fact that the man in the truck not only ran her over once(obviously bad enough), but then backed his truck over her and ran her over again!! He then drove a short distance, parked his truck, and waited for athorities. I am thankful that Mr. Angeline will be closely monitored and not traveling the streets (in any town) any time soon. It could have been any one of us – he had threatened others in the community in the days leading up to this incident. Unfortunately, from what I understand, authorities could not do anything with him since he hadn’t truly ‘broken the law’…another case of someone who fell through the cracks of the system. It’s such a sad situation all the way around. As for the town of Mossyrock, it was nice to see the community come together and give their support to the family – when a tragedy like this hits a small town, it is then that I am always so proud of the friends and family with whom I am associated. Interesting that there were times in my life that I couldn’t wait to move away from Mossyrock, yet chose to stay. After the untimely deaths of both of my parents, the community brought comfort and solice…at 32 a person still feels orphaned after losing their parents and the citizens of Mossyrock brought comfort…simply put, it is “Home”. The Middle store [family] are continuing their day to day life, but I have no doubt that this tragedy is forefront at all times…unfortunately they had to witness it firsthand since it happened in their own parking lot. I am proud of my fellow community members for sharing in the sorrow and providing ongoing support for this family. I am also extremely grateful that they did not shut the store and move away, as it likely could have been the first thing anyone else in the same situation would have preferred to do. While the sentencing might not have been the outcome that some would have preferred, I hope that knowing this man is being fully monitered and not free to travel the streets and commit such a crime again will provide some closure and peace.
