Thanks For Keeping The Roads Clear

Thanks goes out to Bill Cross and our Mayor, Bruce Albert for keeping the roads clear around the town. It’s been a mess.

As I type, Bruce is out on the backhoe clearing the roads. Bill has been up all hours of the day and night plowing away. We have not had real heavy snow, just steady light snow non-stop for the past 24 hours.

My guess is around 2 feet so far in the past 3 days (at least that is what it is on my deck and around the yard. Drifts not included).

Thanks again you two for the hard work. It’s cold out there.

Our Mayor, Bruce Albert, introduced our town’s newest piece of inventory today, 12.15.2008.  The backhoe will be used during severe snow and flood weather as well as clearing the alleys during the storms.  We are sure the backhoe will find many other uses.

In the past the town has had to rent a tractor or backhoe at a cost of $1,000.00 per day.

Pictured below is the new (used) backhoe along with Bill Cross at the helm, Mayor Bruce Albert and an onlooker from the fire department.  Sorry, I did not catch a name for that one person.
