Forums STILL Down

Yup, they are still down. Still awaiting the ok from the host. They really messed us up this time.

One good thing though, they DID finally get our files transferred correctly after they had goofed that one up.

We are unable to access our Ad Server (which we can reinstall if they goof that one up) but the forums we can’t just go throw it out there again…It’s not that easy. We will lose over 100 hours of work if they are inept at this one.

Forums Down and Blog Too Periodically

As stated in previous posts, in the forums at least, due to the move of our database(s) to a more robust server the forums are currently down.

They’ve been down since 9:52pm PST 01.08.11. Please be patient. It’ll be worth it as you will notice a difference in speed (at least those on dial-up will) !!

Forums Up and Running!!

Our Forums are up and running. We do hope you enjoy them and make use of them. We have been through this one other time in 2008.

This time we spent countless hours asking many people questions and trying to make it just right. We know we can’t please everybody but we do our best.

Keep in mind that even “outsiders” can post here too. There is one area that is really targeted at Index or the Town, but outsiders are more than welcome to post.

Please contact us if there are any issues or you think the rules need modification or anything.

Additions or Deletions to the Forum? We tried to put something in there for everybody. Let us know.

Interested in Forums?

We have been tossing around the idea of opening a forum on the site. At the time we do not know if it is a good idea so your input is needed. To avoid any spammers and/or slamming, disrespect to others etc; it would be a moderated forum and a moderator/moderators would be assigned to forums. In other words if a person posted something that was not appropriate, the post would not be made public and/or the user could be banned from the forum. The layout of the forum can be viewed at forums are closed. This is JUST A SAMPLE and we can alter it to suit the public’s wishes. We are here to serve you as we want a respectable site and we want YOU to be happy.

We really would like your thoughts on this. If you are willing, please reply to this message if a yes or no OR you may go the Town Blog and post your comment publicly (you must create an account or be logged in to do so). You may also use the Contact Us form on the Blog if you wish.

Again, this idea is in its infancy and we do not want to start something on the site that users have no interest in.
