Photos:Poison Hemlock Found in The Town of Index

Just got a note from Barb T. as follows:

Hi Ed – somebody in town who is an “expert” on plant identification says our white blossom is “yarrow”, so its not the hemlock.

We were notified by Town Hall (Lisa) that a poison hemlock has been found in a residents yard. We went over there to photograph the beast but could not find it, even after walking the property 2 times.

So we grabbed some photos off of the net.

Be warned and let your children know about this dangerous, fern looking plant with pretty flowers. Notice the rhubarb look to the stem? It looks like that as it ages.
