Email From Jennifer Cote

My Dad, Dave has been a resident of Index for I think about the last 10 years. He lives right off the river as you first enter Index under the train bridge. He can see Wave Trek from across his “site”. My son Justin spent a summer up there in 2007 and just had the time of his life with the wave trek guys and his grandpa.
Now, we have had a family tragedy down here in Carson City, NV and there are some good friends of my Dad’s that I want to thank. I don’t know exactly their names but he was a regular at the Index Cafe. These people have come together and raised enough money for my Dad to drive down here and drive back up but we are so appreciative to them. We really needed Dave down here. My nephew, my sisters only child and Dave’s grandson Jacob passed away Friday evening from complications from something we don’t know yet. Jacob was only 4 years old and was just taken from us too early. One minute he was fine, then the next he was unconscious and on life support. But mostly I just wanted to say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART to all those who helped my Dad to get down to us. I’ve always loved visiting my Dad in Index…just so beautiful and close to God in my eyes. My Dad forever changed into such a more peaceful person since he moved up there. So again…Thank you very much for just the Town of Index to exist!!!
