SEATTLE – A convicted rapist released from McNeil Island Special Commitment Center under restrictions could be freed from state supervision as early as next week.

The Seattle Times reports King County Superior Court Judge Paris Kallas signed a court order Friday freeing 57-year-old Joseph Aqui from state-imposed restrictions.

However, he will have to register as a Level 3 sex offender.

Coyote snatches small dog in Snohomish Co.

Guess it’s that time of the year again.  Around here, isn’t it always that time of  year?

MILL CREEK, Wash. – A coyote ran off with a small dog while the owner was standing just feet away Wednesday in Snohomish County.

Fish and Wildlife officials say it is rare – but not unheard of – for a hungry coyote to come into a neighborhood and walk off with a small pet.
