VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHS NEEDED!

Snohomish County Fire District #28 is seeking dedicated individuals to become Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). This program is for individuals residing inside of Fire District #28, and willing to volunteer to gain experience and education in the fire service while helping their fellow neighbors.

NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED and ALL TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT WILL BE FURNISHED.

Snohomish County Fire District #28 protects 170 square mile of mostly forested wilderness and the Town of Index. The District is served by part time administration, a full-time Assistant Chief and volunteer firefighters, most of who are EMTs. Volunteer firefighters in Fire District #28 are considered “volunteers” – they are not compensated for their volunteerism. This recruitment seeks qualified residents who are committed to the well being of their community and who are able to attend the required training classes and any and all calls that they are able to respond to. Fire District #28 responds to approximately 150 incidents per year.
