This has nothing to do directly with the Town of Index, but it affects us ALL in the State.

DASH POINT STATE PARK, Wash. — If you plan on visiting a state park this holiday weekend, you’ll need to pay up. State parks will no longer be free, starting July 1.

Before, visitors to the parks were only asked to make a donation. Starting Friday, to get through the gates, visitors need a Discover Pass that they must display on their car or they’ll get a fine.

The new Discover Pass will cost $10 for a day pass or $30…..
