Where Has Our Tasty Water Gone?

If you have noticed hardly ANY water pressure in town, we may have the answer.

On Rieter Road, just before the tracks and our water source, PUD was putting in a new pole. They went right threw our water main pipe.

Now this is an old water main, one of those cement and asbestos ones (don’t worry, no danger of asbestos in our water is involved). Normally there is a wire pointing out that a water main is there but there was no wire. I’m just guessing here but the main is probably close to 35 years old. Just a guess.

The odd thing is, we heard from a reliable source that the repair has to be done from somebody in Chelan. Why????? We don’t have the answer but a guess would be “union”.
