Why Donate?

NOTE: This is a community based site and our aspiration is to keep the site independent and non-commercial. We are not affiliated with any commercial sites.

Currently we are trying to fund this site by donations from site visitors. Any shortfall is funded with advertising.

We only carry local advertising (Index, the Valley and what we consider good for all even if not directly local). That way we have no dealing with advertisers like Google, Amazon and the likes. This means we are totally free of any advertiser pressure and able to maintain total independence.

It costs considerable time and money to keep IndexWa.org updated, but we believe firmly that all people should have free access to basic information about our small town. You shouldn’t be required to pay to read or access this type of information.

Unfortunately, the costs for providing this free service are rising rapidly as IndexWa.org gains popularity (in 2011 we had over four million, that’s 4,000,000 hits).  That’s a lot of bandwidth.   Simply put: we need money to pay the bills.

If you frequent IndexWa.org, or even just drop by for information,  and you are happy with us, we’d love it if you would consider donating.

Donations help keep the site updated, pay for bandwidth, and help pay for the time involved maintaining and improving your website.

Donations are entirely voluntary (obviously) however, every donation is greatly appreciated needed.  Within our Forums, there are rewards for those whom have donated.  Just let us know that you have donated and give us your user name on the forums and we’ll do the rest.  If you donated while logged into the forums, it’s all automatic.

You can donate as little or as much as you can afford.   The below suggestions are just that.  Suggestions.  You may override the amounts under OTHER AMOUNT.
